About Us
Axxelerate is a Canberra based social enterprise that empowers young women to unlock their full economic potential. It was founded in 2023 by ANU students who identified a gender gap in the early stages of career development. They noticed that their female peers had weaker career networks and were less aware of career related opportunities. They also found that many industries struggled to attract female talent, even for junior roles. Today, Axxelerate connects young women with resources and career opportunities to overcome inequalities early in the pipeline.
Mission
We aim to improve women’s economic equality by addressing barriers that prevent young women from having equal access to opportunities. We believe early intervention is key to strengthening women’s professional and leadership development, and necessary for closing gender gaps in the workplace.
